Vadita Tailor

I joined DMMUK in 2016. My dad was my biggest inspiration for joining the Mandal.

He dedicated most of his free time in service of the community from performing Havan pooja, Kathaa to Aatam Sanskar pooja. He learnt Sanskrit and the rituals when there was no internet available, just so he could serve the community for free. These are hard shoes to fill but through his seva to others he has taught me that giving is the ultimate key to living.

Being part of DMMUK has given me the opportunity to serve the community, connect with others and work together as a team.

The proudest moments for me are seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter after we have worked hard as a team, putting events together whether that’s Children’s Christmas Party or the over 60’s events makes all worth it.

My hope for the future of the Mandal is to encourage the young members of the community to get involved. I’m optimistic that they can bring new ideas to elevate and improve the DMMUK.

I am passionate about cooking, baking, reading, learning new skills and spending time with my family.
